Bees Abound in Brisbane

Bennetts Rd & Macrossan St & Crown St, Norman Park QLD
There is a lot of interest about plight of the humble honey bee. Many people in urban settings are boosting the population of bees by having their own hive of our favourite pollinator, the European honey bee. The series of images display the Queen and Worker Bee nested in a hexagon, representing the cells that are used for raising new bees and storing honey. The decoration around the hexagon is a mandala of flowers and leaves representing the sources of pollen and nectar. The front face of the box displays the Queen Bee, and the remaining faces depict worker bees.
