City Seizing

The artwork depicts a composition of hands interacting with each other on a gold background. People who come to Brisbane are impressed by grand architecture of the city. “City Seizing” aims to celebrate the architects, engineers and builders who used their hands to create this city. The black and white execution of the hands, emphasised by the gold background, highlights the men and women of Brisbane working together to gain mutual prosperity. The various intricate hand gestures in “City Seizing” further aims to reference the strive of the city workers for excellence and recognition in their work fields.
