Echidna Place

Logan Rd & Archer St, Upper Mt Gravatt QLD
Our design is an ode to the history, culture and community of Mt Gravatt. We have incorporated numerous emblems that reflect important and unique aspects of this suburb. – Echidna – ‘Kaggur-Mabul’ is the Aboriginal name for Mt Gravatt, meaning ‘place of echidna’ – Barn – represents rich agricultural history – prosperous general, poultry and dairy farming district – Fireworks – Annual Mt Gravatt Show (opened 1874) – Gardens/Cityscape – represents the renowned “Garden City” shopping centre (opened in 1970) All elements extend from a book which showcases the suburb’s dedication to supporting education (Library/Griffith University/4 schools).
