The design reflects Rochedale’s origins as an agricultural suburb, with market gardening being common in the locality during the early 20th century. Despite the recent housing development boom, there are still some large acreage properties with cows, horses and gardens nearby. I wanted the design to be bright and colourful for the children travelling to the 3 nearby schools. The design encapsulates simple primary and secondary colours, and various common shapes, which will help the younger students in their basic learning.
