Koi

Park Rd & Douglas St, Milton QLD
The artwork has multiple koi fish in a pond with some plants which is used to represent the serenity of the Brisbane river which travels through Milton, which contrasts to the chaos of the busy area. It is also a symbol of multiculturalism as koi fish are from Japan and on the top section of the box there is harmony written in 35 different languages, which relates to the rich history of Milton as a multicultural hub which is seen in the variety of cultural restaurants and the Milton community festival.
