An initiative of Brisbane City Council

Korea-straliana

Hellawell Road & Borella Road, Sunnybank Hills QLD
The artwork is a celebration of mine and my partner’s relationship as a cross-cultural couple. It is also more generally a celebration of multiculturalism in Brisbane. Its situation in one of the most multi-cultural areas of the city is obviously appropriate. Sunnybank Hills and surrounds have a large Korean community too. The two owls represent myself and my partner. They are the subjects of the work and they give focus to a marrying of cultures in Brisbane.
