Our art work challenges the stigma around mental health by asking people to see the person behind the label. On the sides of the box are masks, each one representing some of the labels that we are expected to wear. The masks highlight the discrimination and stigma people face from mental health, gender, disability, sexuality, social status, race, age religion, culture and appearance. Our design challenges people to take off their masks, to recognise that they are more than a label and to be the person they truly are.
