Young artists remind us – we’re not alone

Raising awareness and reducing stigma surrounding autism and mental health was the goal of a young group of artists behind this beautiful box with an important message in Ashgrove.

‘You are Not Alone’ was designed and painted by a Happy Minds Psychology Practice Art Therapy group – all of the group’s members have autism and were aged 12 – 17 years.

Art Therapy groups offer a natural form of communication, often considered useful in helping young people with a variety of needs and goals. It can provide emotional safety for young people to share their experiences, to develop their self-expression without high reliance on verbal communication and can improve overall wellbeing.
